Releasing Guidance from Misguided People

When a pure beautiful spirit is born into this world, ideally it is delivered into the hands of parents who love and care for it, who want the best life possible. The love is immense, as is the innate drive to guide and protect.

However, as we travel through life and grow into adults, we become wounded, tough and/or fragile, and we take on beliefs about the world that are not always based in the Divine Reality of the pure spirit.

The lenses through which we view the world are colored by our experiences and wounds, and by the beliefs and personas we’ve adopted that help us survive. The guidance that gets passed on from generation to generation – even with the intention to protect and prosper – carries shades of the lives we’ve lived.

We all do our best, and as long as we are in physical bodies, we are human.

Have you recognized a word of wisdom that was passed to you that is now holding you back from living your most fulfilling life? No doubt by now you have. It may have been well-intentioned, expressed with extreme passion as if life-threatening, and you probably took it to heart.

But the advice is the warning based on the advisor’s deep wound. For you, it only serves to constrict your breath and keep you from living into some part of life that is destined to be a part of your journey.

In today’s Prayer & Healing Circle, we’ll take the opportunity to release these words of misguided guidance with all the energies we’ve embodied and beliefs we’ve incorporated that are now holding us back.
