I took a class in Yamuna Body Rolling at the AMTA – MD Conference last week. That’s American Massage Therapy Association – Maryland. The whole conference was a blast! But I especially enjoyed the body rolling. First, our instructor was 71 years old. I might have guessed she was 60. She was in incredible shape, and incredibly flexible. And she’s still working as a massage therapist. I want to be like her when I grow up! The class was taught as a means of self-care for therapists to help us prolong our massage tools – aka our arms, hands, feet, backs, necks – our physical bodies. We were also shown ways to use the body rolling with our clients!! Look out! I’ll be adding at least a 15-minute Yamuna workout to my daily personal self-care routine!!
