There is a Sufi saying: “Everything in your life is from you and it is for you, but it’s not about you.” Everything is a part of your Divinely orchestrated plan. It is a part of your path. The question is: what are you to do with it and what are you to learn from it?

Aaaahhhh, the Universe is generous when it comes to opportunity to find our way! Some events arise to help us learn how to embrace ourselves and others in times of struggle. Some teach us how to set boundaries. Some teach us compassion and forgiveness. Some teach us strength and responsibility.

How do you know which ones to embrace and which to cast aside? How do you recognize the Divine gifts in life’s debris, especially the mundane stuff?
