Restoring Self-Trust

When we make mistakes, we can lose faith in ourselves, but self-trust can be restored. Mistakes are inevitable, but when they are accompanied by embarrassment, humiliation, shame, or guilt, they can install this roadblock and warning sign that says “Don’t ever go down this road again!”

We’re left feeling like we can’t trust ourselves, and we drive through life with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brakes at all times.
