On Equality & Justice: A Tribute to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last night. She will forever be remembered for the rights she fought to protect, the awareness she raised, the role model she was for women and young girls, and the people she lifted up.
Thank you Justice Ginsburg for your leadership and for all you did in your endless service for equality and justice for women and all of humanity. .
This poem came to me in prayer this morning…
On Justice & Equality
There’s a place
where there is no male or female – only One Source,
where there is no color difference – only One Light,
where there is no rich or poor – only One Sustainer,
where there is no religion – only One Love,
where there are no numbers – only ONE.
When we see the Essence of the One in each other and in all life, and treat each other with the respect we would give to our Source, equality and justice are non-issues. We bring Heaven to Earth.
I read a post on Facebook (a tweet from award-winning book critic Ruth Franklin) that says: “According to Jewish tradition, a person who dies on Rosh Hashanah, which began last night, is a tzaddik, a person of great righteousness.” This would certainly be true of the Notorious RBG!
Let us never take for granted or forget the significance of the work of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. When we hold compassion in our hearts and stand for justice and equality, we can stand taller, move more freely and be heard more clearly because of the work she did.
When we see the Essence of the One in each other and in all life, and treat each other with the respect we would give to our Source, equality and justice are non-issues. We bring Heaven to Earth. Share on X
