Living Aligned with Your Heart’s Longing

When your heart is suddenly changed, living aligned with your heart’s longing can mean changing everything about your life…

My initial Spiritual Awakening came as a totally unexpected spontaneous event. Not drug induced or intentional in any conscious way, it lasted a full week. It changed my life from that day forward, but after that week of epiphany, I was re-immersed in the same daily life I had been living for the previous decades.

I had been changed inside, filled with insights and passion. However, the life I was living was the same. The job was the same, my friends were the same, my routine was the same, my habits were the same, my obligations and commitments were the same.

Much of what I was living was totally out of synch from what I had come to realize about the world and the passion I felt in my heart.

My deep prayer became a call for help:

How can I live every minute of every day, every habit, every choice, every word, every breath aligned with what I now knew to be true about the world?
How could I live in service to the longing I felt in my heart?

These are questions we explore in today’s Meditation & Healing Circle. I’ll share with you more about my personal awakening and the guidance that followed, and tools I still use to help me clear layers of old patterning and habits so I can honor my heart’s desire to live aligned with its inner truth.

I know I want to be a good person and do the “right” things, but I keep falling into old habits and patterns from before I knew better. How can I live in a way that aligns with my heart’s desire?

Beloved, be patient with yourself. Have mercy for yourself. Forgive yourself. The transformation from slumber to full awakening does not happen overnight. It is a journey. At each step of the journey are embedded teachings, opportunities for you to know yourself, to know Me and My love.

Patience, self-acceptance, self-forgiveness, self-love are keys. You will never complete or perfect this journey, but the more you travel with awareness, sincerity, intention for self-discovery, and deepening consciousness of your connection with Me, the easier it gets for you to live from your heart in service of your inner knowing, aligned with your truth.

Be a witness to your own journey. Explore your own depths and let the knowledge of yourself unfold before you and within you. You will find the love. You will find Me. Be patient, kind, compassionate, and forgiving of yourself and others, and you will be guided to that path. The path will straighten and narrow to guide you along your truth and to live your truth. But it is the most expansive, open, and freeing journey you can know.

Love is the pathway. Put one foot in front of the other and stay the course. I am with you every step. You do not have to be right or perfect first. I am here now and in every moment. Love is the answer. Love is the key. Love is the doorway, the key, and the pathway. Love is containing. Love is loving. Love is love.
