Embody Love: The Words of Love

For the past week, the song “Oh Very Young” by Yusuf Cat Stevens has been looping in my head, especially the line “Will you carry the words of love with you?” How do we embody love?

“Oh very young, what will you leave us this time?
You’re only dancing on this earth for a short while…

And if you want the world to see a better day,
Will you carry the words of love with you…”

It got me thinking about purpose. What is most important about the purpose we are here to fulfill?

I do believe we’re here to fulfill a purpose. The purpose is inspired from the Divine. Our actions that manifest the purpose allow the expression of the Divine to move through us so that we can better know the Divine through this realm.

The expression of the Divine in this realm is in the Divine attributes – the Divine Names, such as Love, Compassion, Peace, Mercy, Justice, Freedom, Beauty, Majesty, Kindness, Healing, Forgiveness, Gratitude, to name a few.

What is most important about our actions that fulfill our purpose is that they carry the words of Love and leave behind the expression of Love.

The purpose you fulfill may be to heal the hearts, feed the poor, save the animals or the planet or… And what is the purpose of the purpose?

The purpose of the purpose is to carry the words of Love and to share them. To make the world a better place is to lift the spirits and leave behind an atmosphere of Love wherever you go.
