When you are stressed, your body cannot properly digest foods. Releasing stress allows your Parasympathetic Nervous System to innervate your digestive system, so it can process your meal.
Your body needs proper digestive care for proper functioning. If you want it to take care of you, you need to care for it. Your body needs a relaxed environment to receive the nourishment you are giving it. Give yourself the time and attention. You are worth it!
