Deciding from the Heart
With the world becoming more and more polarized, how do we decide what is right? The mind can get confused, but the heart knows what the mind does not. Deciding from the Heart brings you to an inner truth you can feel.
The nature of the heart is to turn. The heart is constantly turning between the inner knowing of Divine Essence and Truth and the outer manifestations of the material world, which offer many contrasts to Divine Love. The nature of the human being is to feel and sense when the heart is turned toward the contrasts or toward Truth itself.
Listen to the podcast here:
The Arabic word for heart is Qalb, which means “to turn.” The desire of those who walk the path of Sufism is “purification of the heart,” so that no matter what the eyes are witnessing, the heart sees through the eyes of Divine Knowledge.
As human beings, we learn best through comparison and contrast. Distinction helps us gain clarity and remember which is which.
The world events of recent years have been providing a sharper contrast between polarities in many areas of life, offering an opportunity to examine distinctions between world views, and to choose which view we wish to align with.
The events have been painful, and often the heart gets frozen by the pain and loses ability to see clearly. Reactions that have been programmed by childhood then go into autopilot, and many times we don’t understand our own reactions. When we don’t have clarity for ourselves, we just go along with the tribe.
If we take the time to be with the heart and allow the heart to return to its natural rhythm, it will turn and guide us to the Divine Truth that resides within and is waiting to be met and lived through us.
