Being Heard. Being Understood. Being Valued.

Have you ever tried to express your viewpoints and needs only to have them dismissed? You try again, rationally and a little firmer, only to have them devalued and negated.

Next time, your voice is raised, the anger is flying. “Why can’t you hear me? Why don’t you listen to me?” Oh, so now you’re labeled hormonal, moody, hysterical. You’ll get over it and life will be “back to normal.”

You get the label, and nothing changes. You’re known for your moods, not for your values.

It’s a relationship dynamic that has been coming up for healing over the past few weeks. It’s a dynamic that is up for healing in the collective as well, as the power dynamics in our country are shifting and more and more historically marginalized voices are being heard.

For each of us individually and to help the collective shift, we’ll focus on healing and clearing this dynamic, from the present and from our lineage.
