We seek to own her and sell parts of her body for profit. Others buy her for pleasure and comforts. Are we sex-trafficking our planet?

We have a relationship issue – it’s the relationship between our humankind and our planet. It is beyond dysfunctional, producing disease and chaos, even the coronavirus pandemic.

Our planet is a living breathing conscious body. Yet we speak of her as a resource for commodities that we can endlessly take from – consume, consume, consume – to make our lives more comfortable and fun.

We’ve lost perspective. We do not acknowledge her as a living being. We have no respect for her heart and soul.

And some take from her to feed their own greed – to own her and sell parts of her body for profit. It’s like we’re sex-trafficking our own planet. And we’ve got to stop.

Enter coronavirus. Is this the victim’s way of fighting back against her abusers? It has certainly forced us to slow down and take notice. And, in this short time, she is already responding with clearer skies and cleaner water.

Oh Humankind! What are we doing? What opportunity do we have for healing?
