Ancestral Healing: Healing the Inner Child of Humanity

It is said that when we heal ourselves, we heal seven generations back and seven generations forward. Yet when we pass on from this life, we return to a state of expansive consciousness and connection that does not carry the same constrictions and limitations that we hold while in body. So when we heal our past generations, what are we healing?

Do our individual ancestors need our healing? Perhaps. But more effectively we are healing our relationships with the past. We are healing and releasing the cords that are woven through our family lineage that affect our current belief systems and behavior patterns.

And our ancestors are a product of the culture of their time, a part of the past collective consciousness. With ancestral healing, we are healing the younger years of the collective – an inner child healing for the collective consciousness of humanity.

What are the patterns that have shown up in your life that you would like to change?
What have you and your family gone through that you are ready to heal?

Chances are, you can find the same patterns in the collective of humanity. Look at the dynamics that play out in our world leadership. Between countries, in politics, in corporations, in religious organizations, in social services, in communities.

Our entire world is in a disconnected, competitive, abusive narcissistic relationship. Not to say there is no good in the world, not saying that at all. But the dysfunction that we witness – it’s all part of a collective, and it mirrors dysfunction throughout the pockets of society. It’s beautiful that so much is coming to light, because the first step of healing is awareness. We have to know and acknowledge we have a problem before we can heal it.

We are all part of one tapestry. The healing path of the collective is the same as the path of the individual. We are born of one light. The life journey is peppered with events that splinter parts of ourselves from our core light and lead us to perceive ourselves as separate individuals, in conflict and competition with each other, arguing with ourselves about who is right. The healing journey brings the disconnected parts of ourselves back together, to unify with the whole.

Healing means wholeness. It is a state that we all desire to return to. It is the state of peace, where we resolve inner conflicts and unify the conflicted parts of ourselves. Individually we need this healing, and the collective of humanity needs this as well.

This will be the focus of today’s Prayer & Healing Circle – to heal the family lineage and the inner child of the collective consciousness – to unify the splintered parts of ourselves and humanity so that we may return to wholeness, to oneness with a core light.
