Loving Your Guts – Presence. Connection. Acceptance. Love.
March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and as most of my programs have centered around the Food-Body-Spirit Connection, I like to acknowledge this month in a special way.
Our guts, and the whole abdominal area that contains the guts, hold incredible wisdom – vital to the health of the body, emotions, mental health, and yes, the spirit too.
Yet, we tend to be totally disconnected from this part of the body. In fact, we only hear it when it complains loudly and causes us discomfort or pain, or when we’re judging it for being too big or too little or not looking like the picture in the (online) magazine.
But just like every human being, our guts are worthy of love and respect no matter how they look or feel. So in today’s Prayer & Healing Circle, we’ll take time to acknowledge our bellies – to connect and be present with this often disregarded part of ourselves. We’ll offer acceptance “as is” and love that fosters partnership and wholeness.
Please join us. You are welcome to bring your prayers for personal struggles, challenges of and with those you care about, for peace, for fulfillment, and for the health and sustainability of our planet.
Bring whatever is on your heart. Come as you are, receive, heal and grow. Please invite your friends to join us, too.
