The responses are in, and I’m so grateful for the input and support to name the new program!
About 90% of responses chose the same option – almost unanimous! Thank goodness I asked because the popular response was not my first choice. However, upon reflection, I realize you are right!
Some of you gave explanations for your choice, which I really appreciate and agree with. The first name, Ahimsa-Ahad, though it got a few votes, most people in the English-speaking cultures would not know what these words pertain to, and they would not likely take the time to look further into something unrecognizable.

The third name, Community for Spiritual Living, carries a similar concern – what is Spiritual? It can be pretty wide open, depending on the lens of the person using the term. Though I believe at the heart of any spiritual path is the same search for love and truth, this term leaves people wondering just what they will get.
Option #2 – The Community for Conscious Living – was the clear choice.
Still I had to sit in meditation and ask for clear guidance. Given that it wasn’t my first choice, I had to make sure I wasn’t compromising solely to appeal to the masses.
Here’s what I realized: Conscious includes alignment with the principles of Spirituality. Awareness is the first step to any transformation. In fact, this is the first step in the 7-step healing process I teach.
When we bring awareness to our subconscious actions and beliefs, we bring them into conscious light. We begin to see our true selves more clearly.
This gives us choice – an opportunity to align with our highest innate truths (Spirituality), an opportunity to choose a path of respect for the sacredness of all life and all of existence (Ahimsa), and a recognition of the oneness of all existence (Ahad – One and only One).
This is PERFECT! On our weekly meditations, you’ll be guided to explore your own inner light and your deepest knowings that resonate with the universal truths in your own heart.
How do love, peace, compassion, respect and oneness want to be realized and actualized through you?
What is needed for you to live more fully in the acknowledgement and respect of divine light in everything?
