It’s an interesting day today. I am in California at the home of my spiritual community. I came to say goodbye to my spiritual guide before he leaves the country for his home in Jerusalem.
It turns out he suffered a brain hemorrhage the day before many of us arrived. He is in the hospital expected to make his transition from his body to the world of the one pure love – and it’s all one pure love.
Today is also the 27th anniversary of my mother’s passing. I hope my mother and my guide can at least pass each other and share a hug or a high five. That thought brings a smile to my face and a giggle to my heart.
Waves of emotions have been flowing through my heart and my body, yet every part of me – body, heart, mind, soul, spirit – is overwhelmed with immense gratitude for what I have received over the past 17+ years with my guide, for the 25+ years on earth with my mother, and for the whole 52+ years of this life in physical body. And I know the best is yet to come – it truly does keep getting better!
A prayer comes to my heart today. I’d like to share it with you, and if it resonates with you, please use it for yourself. It’s a prayer to the One Pure Love:
“My Beloved, please help me to see through Your eyes,
hear through Your ears and
understand with Your heart of love and compassion.
Make me to be in eternal gratitude for Your gifts
and in service for You in this world.”
The one question that my guide has been asked the most over these years is “How can I be of service?” It’s human nature to want to have purpose, to serve a higher good, to feel a part of something bigger than ourselves. This is what I hope I can bring to you – service for a greater good, and to help you feel that you are a part of something much larger than yourself.
Over the past week, I have been conducting more interviews for the upcoming summit, the Food-Body-Spirit Connection. I’ve interviewed people who have devoted their lives to serving in most beautiful ways, including Shantree Kacera of The Living Centre, Mar Oscategui, Rena Greenberg, Susan Peirce Thompson, Karen Ranzi and more.
These follow the interviews with Will Tuttle, Dr. David Weinthal and Licia Berry. I’m off now for an interview with Dr. Gabriel Cousens, author of many books including Spiritual Nutrition and Conscious Eating. And many more are scheduled for the coming weeks.
I can’t wait to share these with you starting in December. I know your heart will be touched and your life changed for the better, and I pray you realize how connected you are with all of creation.
I recognize that it has been quite a journey getting to the place of feeling the connection and being ready to serve. We do have to work on ourselves to heal our bodies and hearts, and to find what form of service is calling from within us.
If I can support you in any way, please reach out. That is the form of service that calls from within me. I long to serve you. If you’d like to connect, you can schedule a chat at http://ScheduleWithDebra.com.
Blessings and gratitude,
Live and Love Joyfully!
