In the last email, I wrote about holding the best for every person you see. Well…. The Universe is abundant with opportunity!
Lately I’ve been helping a significant friend defend against a legal action that could cause him to lose his home. In this process, I’ve seen how distortions of truth and some outright lies, as well as manipulation of government, the legal system, the media and the people can create a destructive force – a force that is hollow with no heart or soul.
I’ve spent a lot of time in deep conversation with God and the angels over these past 10 months. I’ve asked why – for help to learn our lessons so we can get past this. I’ve prayed to please stop the unjust actions.
I’ve prayed for all of our hearts to be enlightened with truth and to see the light in each other – to treat each other as human beings with love and respect. I don’t understand how people can turn on someone; how they can forget that there’s a heart and soul inside that body – someone with family and children who look up to him.
Then a couple of days ago, I heard a thought pass through my head wishing harm on one of the instigators of this action. Then almost instantly, I found myself asking for protection for her. It was as if a clear dialog came through, not from me but for me – a teaching for me, so of course I want to share it with you.
“Please protect them from my thoughts of harm or disparagement. If any ill-will comes to them, I don’t want it to be from me. You are the One Who knows, Who judges, Who brings corrective action. Help me to turn my prayers to You and put my trust in You. You know what’s best.”
This doesn’t mean that I won’t continue to show up and speak what I believe to be true. This doesn’t mean that I won’t make attempts to communicate and understand what’s moving for the others – or myself either for that matter.
I have received immense healing throughout this whole process – healing pain and trauma from childhood, transforming those limiting beliefs and unsupportive stories. I’ve received many gifts along this journey – maybe the greatest gift is standing for what I believe rather than cowering under the intimidation of others.
I don’t believe in answering for my actions on some judgment day in a far-off time. I believe in answering for my actions now – being in constant dialog with God and asking for courage when things get tough. I remind myself that this is what I answer to, not anyone else. I am grateful for what I’ve been given in this life, and I forgive myself when I’m not “perfect.”
Everything does happen for a reason, and no matter how hard it may seem, there are many jewels to be gleaned along the way.
