Letting Go of Attachments: Preparing for a New Era of Peace

Attachments are those ideas we hold onto that give us a sense of security, but they also keep us locked into old patterns that don’t necessarily give us the highest result.

We are evolving into a new era of peace. Our old world has been based on surviving separation and conflict. The new world is based on compassion and unity.

There are a lot of old ways that do not fit into the new world.

For instance, most people have a set point around income. We have strong ideas of how hard we have to work or how smart we have to be or how much we need to sacrifice in order to earn a set amount. We also have ideas around acquiring wealth that come from scarcity and lack, such as “if I take too much, there will not be enough for others.”

What might this look like in an era of unity? What if we could whole-heartedly believe that God provides to each exactly what he needs to be fulfilled? What if we could believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that the path to abundance is in caring for each other so that no one goes without?

It would certainly take a shift in beliefs, individually and collectively. To move into the era of peace, we need to let go of the old ideas and attachments.
