Building Self-Esteem
Life is full of situations that build us up and knock us down, building self-esteem and dropping us to our knees. And regardless of what life brings, we each have an internal compass that knows our truth.
Listen to the podcast here:
I used to be one of the most insecure people I’ve known. At times I was afraid to speak, fearing that every word I spoke would be criticized and every breath in between would spark hatred. I felt like calling attention to myself would only exacerbate the internalized feelings that I didn’t belong and shouldn’t exist. In a world of contrast and hierarchy, I was certainly at the lower end.
But then I had a spontaneous spiritual awakening that brought an unseen realm to light and filled my heart with a presence of unconditional love and a recognition of the beauty in our world. Suddenly everything that had created that structure of low self-esteem had no merit at all.
I came away from the epiphany experience with a knowing that Love is all that matters and everything is Love.
Life is full of situations that build us up and knock us down. And we each have an internal compass that knows our truth. Share on XSo what about this life I’d lived that had conditioned me to believe I was less than? What about all the patterns that had been imprinted in my subconscious?
Well, they still lurked in me, and they came out in subtle ways – ok, sometimes not so subtle. I didn’t give them the same power over me, but I did need to clean them – and still do – to keep them from undermining my desires to be true to my heart and live in love and service and fulfillment.
Life is full of situations that build us up and knock us down. And we each have an internal compass that knows our truth. The truth is not what we’ve been conditioned to believe or the imprints our society has left on us. The truth includes a knowing of love and a connection and oneness with All That Is.
To live true to ourselves, we need to cleanse ourselves of the patterning that creates the low self-esteem and develop the inner knowing that builds a strong self-esteem.
To live true to ourselves, we need to cleanse ourselves of the patterning that creates the low self-esteem and develop the inner knowing that builds a strong self-esteem. Share on XThat’s what we’ll do in today’s Prayer & Healing Circle. We’ll call forth all the energies and beliefs that we’ve given power to, that we’ve put in front of our inner knowing, and we’ll call on Divine Attributes to help us cleanse them from our bodies, minds and hearts, and reset the internal compass to align with truth.
Some of the Divine Attributes we might work with today include:
- Al-Mudhil, the One Who Humiliates, Low Self-Esteem
- Al-Mu’izz, the One Who Honors, High Self-Esteem
- Al-Haqq, the Truth
