A few months ago I was on an interview program with Daria Anne DiGiovanni called “Your Book, Your Brand, Your Business” to talk about my books, While We Were Silent and Bridging the GAPS: A Journey to the Center of Yourself. (You can listen to my interview here.) We had such a great connection, I love her energy so much, that I decided to invite Daria to be on my Self-Care for the Soul podcast. I’m grateful that she agreed.

The book, While We Were Silent, is a collection of stories from people who have healed from the trauma of sexual abuse and now have careers helping others heal. Our community has brought together many people who have stories to tell, including those seeking healing and those who are in the healing professions. Wherever you are, everyone has at least one story to tell.

What impresses me most about Daria is how she connects with her clients to draw out their stories, how she creates safety for them, how passionate she becomes about the story she is telling and the characters. I could feel how deeply heard and held her clients were. Her methods are healing. Her practice is a healing art.

ABOUT DARIA ANNE DIGIOVANNI:

Author, ghostwriter, editor, copywriter, independent publishing consultant and internet radio professional Daria Anne DiGiovanni released the first edition of her novel Water Signs: A Story of Love and Renewal in 2008 to a receptive audience.

Although a freelance editor and blogger at the time, the success of the book led to the expansion of her career when a reader called to ask her to ghostwrite his book, Steps to Salvation. At first, she felt nervous about taking on the project but her his firm conviction that she was the right person for the job convinced her to take on a new challenge, and his book was ultimately released in 2014.

Somewhere along the way, Daria said goodbye to the corporate world and channeled her experience and knowledge in corporate communications and marketing into her own business, Daria Anne Media, where she provided full-service publishing packages, copy writing and editing services.

Since then, she has ghostwritten multiple books, including The Kitchen Alchemist: How I Became My Own Food Scientist So My Kids Could Thrive with Anaphylactic Food Allergies, To Guard My Every Neighbor: Inside the Fire, and Home Grown Legacy: Life, Ladders and Learnings in the World of Home Improvement.

These days, Daria focuses mainly on writing copy for various clients and marketing campaigns, but continues to edit and ghostwrite books as her schedule allows.
