2019: Integration – Acknowledging & Celebrating Successes
Do you ever get that feeling like you’ve been working away and yet you got nothing accomplished? Next thing you know it’s the end of the year and you’re wondering where the time went?
However, if you take time to look back, even if things didn’t go exactly as planned, you can find successes. We tend to check things off the to-do list and focus only on what is left to do. But acknowledging accomplishments and celebrating successes are keys to integrating the gifts you receive from them.
Listen to the podcast here:
Have you ever felt like you did something really good and then got brushed off or diminished? It happens a lot to children. Perhaps when you were a child, you created an artful expression and then get fussed at for making a mess.
It happens to adults in relationships and in the workplace. If you’re a mom or a dad, you give endlessly and rarely get the appreciation you deserve. In the workplace, maybe you have that coworker who is eager to take credit for everyone’s ideas.
It hurts when others diminish the good we’ve done or dampen our light and joy. So we certainly don’t want to do that to ourselves!
Our basic human needs include being seen, being heard and being known and understood. Even if you’re not feeling misunderstood or hurt over this past year, it’s important to call forth the good things to be acknowledged, to be seen, heard and known.
We want to give them space and expansion within ourselves and allow them to integrate into our state of being so that the qualities of success can anchor into the core of who we are. When we embody success, we carry that forward and draw more success to ourselves.
